NORTH ATLANTIC COOPERATION COUNCIL

Agenda Item:

• The amelioration of relations between the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) and Warsaw Pact countries.

Under-Secretaries General: Mehmet Polat & Ümit Berke Tosunoğlu

North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) was established in 1949 and has been a bulwark of international security, fostering collaboration among its member states. The NACC, established in 1991 as a NATO sub-branch, was created with the intention of being a forum of discussion and cooperation with NATO’s former Warsaw Pact adversaries.

The NATO Committee within this conference serves as a crucible for diplomatic discourse, fostering an environment where delegates grapple with the intricate nuances of international security. As we embark on this collective endeavor, let us strive to forge solutions that harmonize the imperatives of security, cooperation, and the preservation of individual nations' autonomy within the NATO alliance.
